This weekend, we went from zero kiddos in the house to 2 toddlers (ages 1 and 2) that we cared for this weekend!
Here is a list of things that I have learned over the past few days:
- You may think you have baby/toddler proofed your house...but, it was beta tested this weekend and it didn't pass!
- Snuggles and hugs should always be a priority! You never know what they are going through!
- It is near to impossible to have a spotless house...and that's okay! Some things are more important!
- Don't be afraid to turn on some music and dance around with the kiddos! (They really enjoy making fun of you too!)
- Little girls like doing "mommy's" hair and making her "pretty!" :)
- Take quick showers!
- During nap-time, it's okay for "mommy" to have a nap too!
- "Daddy" is really good at changing diapers! ;) (Thanks for your help, my love!)
- Storms wake up little ones...but snuggles can help them go back to sleep!
- It's okay if they drop food from their highchairs when you have little doggy vacuum cleaner uppers! :)
- Don't get too attached because you have to give them back at the end of the weekend. :(
We had a super fun weekend and already missing them but looking forward to the next time we can watch them!
We are back to an "empty nest" but still waiting on that call! :)
Blessings,
Sharonna
